


Partnering is not new to the construction industry. Much of the criteria for the Principal Supply Chain Partner (PSCP) selection process was a practical knowledge of the NHS and partnering. Companies such as BAA and ASDA have largely introduced the concept of partnering frameworks to the UK construction industry. However, it is new to the NHS, and making that leap of faith from the known to the unknown has proven difficult for some.
However, we have recognised this and put in some measures to ensure that the NHS can get the knowledge and experience that they need. We have a full continuing professional development programme that helps project directors specifically gain the skills that they need.
