Vision:
A facility that is suitable for delivering care for minimal costs to provide decant space to allow the redevelopment of the Older Persons site.
Challenge:
To refurbish the unit to an acceptable standard for safety and security whilst minimising expenditure as the unit will only be used for a limited duration.
Solution:
We have worked in close conjunction with the Trust Clinical team to agree the level of refurbishment required and the standard of the fixtures and fittings to ensure a safe environment.
Benefit:
We will be able to provide a unit that will meet the clinical need to allow the decant of patients prior to demolition of the existing ward block. Minimal expenditure on this project will allow maximum investment in the new permanent facility.
